The vision of bringing the South Asian Diaspora and Person's of Indian Origin
in America a piece of what they were missing from back home was sparked by Dr. B.N. Viswanath and his wife Sathya Viswanath in 1976 with the birth of the first
South Asian television show in the United States, Vision of Asia.
Since that
time, the Viswanath's and their family have continued to bridge the gap between
east and west to millions of viewers across the country with a particular
emphasis on the tri-state area. Moreover, the Viswanath's have further expanded
their media empire to include:
Two (2) radio networks (Asian Fm & Asian FM USA),
Five Terrestrial Television Stations (in New Jersey, Texas, and Florida), and an
internet-based video programming website called "ITV on Web."
